Наверное, в наше время уже каждый успел заметить или даже ощутить на себе, как быстро социальное неравенство поглотило наш мир… К сожалению, сегодня очень малый процент тех людей, которые имеют средний достаток, а основную нишу занимают либо очень богатые люди, либо же те, кто находится далеко за чертой бедности…
И думаю ни для кого не секрет, что даже несмотря на то, что мир постоянно развивается и совершенствуется, есть и такие люди, которые до сих пор живут на улице, и к слову их достаточно много, и не только в нашей стране… И так уж получилось, что если одни из них выбрали такой путь существования сами, то другие оказались на улице по сложным жизненным обстоятельствам, на которые иногда даже самые сильные люди – просто не могут повлиять… Поэтому им и приходится спать на лавочках и отыскивать себе еду прямо в мусорных баках. Ну а счастье для них, когда небезразличный человек просто иногда обратит на них внимание…

Постоянная суета, шум города, очереди и бесконечные пробки… Все это даже с самого дружелюбного и позитивно настроенного человека, может сделать агрессивную и холодную личность, которая к вечеру просто ненавидит всех окружающих… Увы, но все эти и еще множество факторов, так или иначе влияют на нас… И думаю, с этим сложно поспорить…

Sona Jobarteh performed in Weimar on invitation of the University of Music FRANZ LISZT Weimar and its UNESCO Chair of Transcultural Music Studies (TMS). The TMS Chair regularly invites artists to bring the musicology students into contact with various musical cultures for inspiration and exchange.

Sona Jobarteh is the first female Kora virtuoso to come from a west African Griot family. The Kora is one of the most important instruments belonging to the Manding peoples of West Africa (Gambia, Senegal, Mali, Guinea and Guinea-Bissau). It belongs exclusively to griot families, and usually only men who are born into these families have the right to take up the instrument professionally. Sona Jobarteh combines various genres of African Music and western musical elements.
